Mark Tunmore is an ecologist with more than 20 years of experience

He has developed a strong reputation for field expertise, reliability and reporting. A highly experienced fieldworker, he has worked on a wide range of development projects and scientific monitoring programmes involving birds, bats, invertebrates, dormice, badgers, otters and reptiles.

Supporting Environmental Consultancies and Environmental Organisations

As well as working independently for clients, work is regularly undertaken for larger ecological consultancies when they need additional expertise and equipment. Clients have included RPS, Wardell Armstrong, Scott Wilson, ADAS, BSG, Cornwall Environmental Consultants, Avian Ecology, WSP and WYG. Projects have also been undertaken with Natural England, National Trust, RSPB, Butterfly Conservation, Buglife, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and The Environment Agency. 

 

Licensed and accredited ecologist

Mark Tunmore’s licences and accreditations include:

  • Full member, Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • Natural England Registered Consultant (RC) under the Bat Low Impact Class Licence.
  • Licensed to disturb and take bats (class 2 licence) in all counties of England.
  • Licensed to disturb and take Dormice in all counties of England.
  • Licensed to disturb Barn Owls in all counties of England.
  • JNCC accredited ESAS seabird surveyor.
